HPRC
| High Performance Resin Cases
HPRC cases
meet and exceed the most rigorous standards of performance
including those of the US Military and NATO, and are
currently sold to the US Air Force. Our cases are
watertight, airtight and virtually unbreakable.
Military and everyday users agree
- these cases are tough!
HPRC
does more with less. The high-strength patented
plastic compound (TTX01® Polypropylene-Resin Compound)
used in our cases allows HPRC to utilize thinner walls
to deliver a 20% lighter case without compromising strength.
And our engineers have designed HPRC cases to flex at key
points allowing it to absorb greater pressure on impact. See
our product
demonstration videos for examples of our superior performance,
including our case holding up to the weight of a truck. Now
that's strength!
HPRC
certifications are below and also apply to hard cases sold
under the Portabrace brand,
which shares HPRC's advanced technology and design:
-
NATO
STANAG 4280 and DS 81-41 - The
Stanag 4280 and Def-Stan 81-41 standards for
military use are embraced by the NATO countries
as the European equivalents to the MIL-SPEC certification
in the United States. Both sets of criteria
subject the cases to an extensive battery of
standardized endurance and quality tests designed
to simulate use in extreme conditions.
HPRC Cases met and mastered challenges gauging
their resistance to vibration and high impact, as well
as high and low temperatures for extended periods of
time.
-
ATA
300 - The
requirements of this test serve as the standards
for shipping cases acceptable for air transport. The
tests involved with becoming ATA 300 compliant
are conducted to ascertain if a shipping case
will withstand the rigors of being shipped a
minimum of 100 times.
ATA 300 also specifies that the case will have recessed
handles that will not break during transit.
-
IP
67 - The
IP (Ingress Protection) rating defined in international
standard IEC 60529 classifies the level of protection
that is provided against the intrusion of solid
objects or dust, accidental contact, and water. The
first digit indicates the level of protection
that the enclosure provides against access to
hazardous parts and the ingress of solid foreign
objects. HPRC’s rating of 6 indicates
the highest level of protection – no ingress
of dust, complete protection against contact. The
second digit indicates the protection of equipment
against harmful ingress of water. HPRC’s
rating of 7 (out of 8) ensures that it is waterproof
(up to at least 3.3 ft of submersion). Compare
vs. other brands!
-
Temperature
ratings of - 40 deg F to +176 deg F - Leading
performer in low temperature environments. Compare
vs. other brands!
